Goofs: Anachronisms: In the first scene, Alices father proposes to his business associates to extend their business all the way to Rangoon and Jakarta. In the eighteen-hundreds, Jakarta was known as Batavia. Its name was changed to Djakarta in 1942, the spelling Jakarta dates from 1972.
